Staying on Rottnest Island for a week in August 2020 gave me time to look around and take notice of the rhythm and pattern of natural events on the island. This artwork is quite simply seaweed in a drift on Geordie Bay beach. Understanding the visual relationships and complexities of the natural world through my observation and then communicating visually and adapting mediums and techniques to meet the subject is the challenge and interest for my art practiceGenevieve Hartney 14/10/2020
